Tafaria Castle is a short drive from Nairobi, approx 4 hours. It has an old world charm to it, with buildings in the shapes of castles and themed around this throughout. There are various activities available, including swimming, rest all chargeable including mini golf, horse riding, pool table etc. Exploring the place can take quite a bit of time, as there are wonderful art pieces strewn all over with some info about them. Generally a good place to visit, though some areas were not too clean especially around the swimming pool. Tafaria has 81 rooms in its various residential quarters with a capacity of up to 160pax in different configurations. The Castle building has the Lord’s room, the Chamber and seven rooms in the Lord’s Court. The rest of the rooms are located around the Castle.
