Welcome to Kesho Kutwa, a charming and spacious two-bedroom cottage just a minute’s walk from Diani Beach. This family-owned, Swahili-style home is decorated with African antiques and offers a relaxed, friendly vibe—perfect for families or small groups looking for a peaceful coastal escape. The cottage has two en-suite bedrooms: one with a king-size bed, the other with three single beds. All beds have mosquito nets for your comfort.
The cottage runs on solar power, so fans and appliances will still work during daytime power cuts. A generator ensures the bedroom air conditioning works at night if needed. Please note the kettle is stovetop, and showers may be slightly cooler on cloudy days. Daily housekeeping is included, and drinking water is available via a countertop purifier. You’re welcome to cook for yourself, but if you’d like a chef, we can share contacts. Fresh seafood can also be delivered to your door by local fishermen.
Nature surrounds you here. Monkeys, including the rare black-and-white colobus, often visit the garden. At night, you might hear or spot bush babies—especially if you leave out fruit. Other friendly visitors include geckos, monitor lizards, and squirrels. While the property is generally quiet, there can occasionally be noise from nearby beach bars, particularly on weekends or holidays.
Guests have private use of the cottage and access to a shared swimming pool. Please note the pool is unfenced and opens directly to the beach—children must be supervised at all times. We ask that guests respect house rules: no loud music, parties, or unregistered visitors. This helps maintain a peaceful and secure space for everyone on the property.
