Sega is Swahili for “Sega la Asali,” meaning a honeycomb. Just like the cells of a honeycomb, each of our rooms has a special story to tell. Inspired by Swahili culture and artifacts carefully curated worldwide, Sega House will make you feel like you’ve experienced and become part of a different culture.
A luxurious haven, Sega House is located just a 10-minute walk from the beach, a 15-minute drive to the airport, and 10 minutes to the Diani shopping center. Perfect for couples, families, businesses, and groups.
The Space
The Living Room & Lounge Areas: Enjoy ample space to wine and dine in our bright, airy living room with a high Swahili-style “Makuti” ceiling. Our stylish lounge nook with sprawling cushions is perfect for reading. The alfresco dining area overlooks the garden, providing a relaxing seating area day and night. The antique Pakistani door, converted into a beautiful dining table, comfortably accommodates eight people. A Lamu dhow (boat) converted into a bench adds to the dining area’s ambiance. Relax on the Swahili outdoor day bed made to your comfort by talented local artisans.
The Bedrooms: Sega House offers two spacious king-size bedrooms with comfortable beds, a working desk, blackout curtains, and plenty of wardrobe and storage space. A third bedroom hosts a 4×6 bed with ample wardrobe space, an AC, and a ceiling fan. The house features two bathrooms, one newly renovated. It sleeps five people comfortably.
The Kitchen: The kitchen has been tastefully updated with open shelves displaying original Pakistani Multan crockery. A breakfast bar offers a taste of Kenyan coffee and tea at no cost to our guests. Your cooking needs are catered for with utensils, a kettle, and stainless steel silverware. There is plenty of room to cook with a gas stove and burners, a microwave, and a sizable fridge.
Guest Amenities: Ceiling fans are in all rooms, and air conditioners are in all three bedrooms. We provide mosquito bed nets, an ample supply of bed linen and towels, and a solar inverter backup system to keep the lights on in case of a power outage. Our property manager is available as needed, with 24/7 security, free parking, and a daily cleaning service. You can access a chef for an additional cost of $30 and a masseuse for $20 per hour. Shampoo and body wash are provided in each bathroom. Extra pillows, linen, and bath towels are available upon request. A washing machine is also provided.
The Swimming Pool: The beautiful pool area is shared with three other houses and is available for guests’ use at all times. Please leave the pool area as clean and neat as you found it.

Guests have full access to the house and private front and back yards. You can check in at any time, but please let us know of your arrival in advance. Check-out is at 10:00 a.m., but we will try to accommodate late check-out requests if we do not have other bookings. We also offer transfers to and from the house at an additional cost.
