Standing like a Buddhist temple in the open plain Savannah, the watchtower was originally used to keep track of the horses racing around the adjacent gallop. This tower has now been transformed into an inspiring accommodation for couples or solo travelers seeking some nature therapy. The wrap-around windows in the upstairs bedroom are perfect for viewing the surrounding wildlife. Connect with each other and the heavens with the his-and-hers showers under the stars.
The watchtower is a cozy cabin set in the midst of our wildlife sanctuary. Spread over two floors, it features a kitchen, dining area, and bathroom on the ground floor. The private bedroom upstairs on the first floor boasts 360-degree views of the acacia forest and the wildlife outside, stretching as far as the lake. The watchtower is surrounded by a large outdoor deck, perfect for sunbathing, outdoor dining, and enjoying sundowners in the evening. Additionally, there is an enclosed double outdoor shower room open to the stars.
Guests staying at the watchtower have access to the entire private sanctuary, including our restaurant, horse riding stables, and all other activities offered at Sanctuary Farm.
As we are primarily a wildlife conservancy, a conservation fee of KES 1000/- per adult and 500/- per child (free for kids under 5) is charged upon arrival at the gate. This fee is only paid once and goes towards all our conservation efforts.
