Depart Nairobi and drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley with scenic views over the Rift to Lake Nakuru. The park is famous for its large population of pelicans, the endangered black and white Rhino, and the big cats in its ecosystem. Residents in the park are Defasa Waterbuck, Common Zebra, Rothschild Giraffe, black & white Colobus monkey, and different species of antelope and buffalo. With some luck, you could encounter lions or leopards. The landscape is great! Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives around the lake with lunch at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or similar.
