The tour begins with a journey through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley, including a stop at a scenic viewpoint. As we traverse the valley floor, you’ll marvel at the diverse terrain, from hills and valleys to escarpments and mountains, all shaped by volcanic activity.
Our first stop is Lake Nakuru National Park, nestled in the heart of the Great Rift Valley. Here, you’ll encounter millions of lesser flamingos and pelicans, alongside other captivating wildlife. Next, we’ll visit Lake Naivasha, a serene freshwater lake within the Great Rift Valley.
The highlight of the trip is a visit to the renowned Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Famous for its spectacular wildebeest migration, the Maasai Mara is a true wonder of the world. It’s also the only place where the Maasai people live in harmony with wild animals, offering a unique cultural experience amidst the natural beauty of the savannah.
Begin your 5 days cheap budget camping tour from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch, followed by an introductory game drive. The drive will take you to shore of the lake to watch the multi-million flamingo birds, the pelicans, Hippos, Waterbucks etc. Dinner and overnight stay. Overnight at a budget hotel. We continue our low-cost safari to Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch at the campsite by the lake and early afternoon, we take an optional nature walk at Crescent Island is an excellent way to see wild animals while on foot. The Island is a private game sanctuary, which is home to Zebras, Wildebeests, Gazelles, Vervet monkeys, Hares, Genet Cats, Waterbuck and Giraffes. Overnight at the Campsite. Early in the morning, we have the option of a boat ride at a cost. Depart after breakfast to Masai Mara Game Reserve. Lunch en-route or at the accommodation depending on time. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great Wildebeests' migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at our camp and relax before departing for the afternoon game drive. The Mara Game Reserve – one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Enjoy evening game drive. A full day will be spent in the Mara with morning and afternoon game drives in search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive Cheetah and Leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. During our stay we also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Maasai people or early morning balloon ride at a cost. Overnight at the Campsite. Early morning tea/coffee or Hot chocolate then depart for a morning pre-breakfast game drive. Back to the accommodation for breakfast and then depart to Narok for a picnic or lunch to arrive in Nairobi in the evening to end your budget camping safari. Meal Plan {Breakfast}
