Your continued use of the Mobile Service is conditioned upon your compliance with these Mobile Terms.
  • By using the Mobile Service, you understand and agree that Msafiri has no obligation to maintain, support, upgrade, or update the Mobile Service, or to provide all or any specific content through the Mobile Service. You further understand and agree that we may access, collect, and use information, which may include personally identifiable information, which your mobile device automatically makes available to our mobile app, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
Types of accommodations

Msafiri (hereafter referred to as Msafiri, ‘the website,’ or ‘the company’) provides a platform that allows you to browse and book a wide range of temporary accommodations, including hotels, hotel apartments, villas, bed and breakfasts, and hostels. The service is accessible through the mobile website, as well as apps available for iOS, Android, and Windows devices.

If you choose to make a reservation through Msafiri, you are accepting the listed price along with the terms and conditions outlined on the website. Once your selected accommodation confirms the reservation, a confirmation email—including a voucher for prepaid bookings—will be sent by Msafiri to the email address used during the booking process. Msafiri reserves the right to decline reservations as detailed in the ‘Right to Cancel’ section below.

Information provided by Msafiri is gathered from a variety of suppliers and accommodation providers. While Msafiri makes every effort to ensure that the information presented is current and accurate, we cannot guarantee its completeness or accuracy at all times, as prices and availability are subject to change.

The prices shown generally include service fees and taxes, with a detailed breakdown available on the payment page during the booking process. Some properties may apply additional charges, such as city tax, tourism fees, security deposits, resort fees, and others, that must be paid directly at the accommodation. These charges are not included in the total booking amount. Where applicable, such fees will be listed on the accommodation’s detail page under “Mandatory fees.”

Accommodation classifications on Msafiri are based on the local standards of each country, which can vary significantly from one place to another. In some instances, these classifications serve more as general guidelines rather than official ratings. Customers should be aware that the quality and standards may differ between accommodations of the same class across different countries, and even within the same country. Additionally, some classifications may be based on self-assessments provided by the accommodations themselves. As a result, Msafiri does not guarantee the accuracy of these classifications and, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, does not accept any liability regarding the ratings displayed on the website.

Msafiri reserves the right to decline customers or bookings (or to cancel confirmed bookings in exceptional cases) at its sole discretion and for any lawful reason, without the obligation to justify. Common reasons for rejecting a customer or booking may include, but are not limited to:

  • Violation of Msafiri’s terms and conditions
  • Accommodation closure
  • Incorrect pricing
  • Force majeure events
  • Trade or economic sanctions
  • Embargoes or other legal restrictions
  • Fraud or theft
  • Suspected criminal activity
  • Submission of false or inaccurate information
  • Payment or credit card issues
  • Inappropriate conduct
  • Threatening or abusive behavior

If a booking is declined or cancelled by Msafiri after payment has been made, the full booking amount will be refunded.

Msafiri also reserves the right to ban (or “blacklist”) users from accessing its website and app, either temporarily or permanently, without prior notice. Blacklisted users are prohibited from using the platform under a different name or account.

In certain situations, Msafiri may be required to reject or cancel bookings due to “obvious errors”—such as clear mistakes in pricing on the website or app, even if not immediately apparent to the customer. Msafiri reserves the right to cancel such bookings without notice, and any charges already made will be refunded in full.

Please note that all prices displayed on the Msafiri website and app are based on the selected travel dates and number of guests (unless stated otherwise). Msafiri generally shows rates inclusive of tax recovery and service charges (see further details below) and highlights these charges during the booking process.

The total amount payable will be clearly shown before you finalize your booking. A full breakdown of the payment will be provided prior to confirmation. We encourage you to carefully review each step of the booking form.

Details of what is included in the rate can be found on the website and app—either under the room selection section or before final booking confirmation—and/or in the confirmation email or voucher.

Standard room bookings typically cover single, double, or triple occupancy. Additional beds may incur extra charges unless otherwise specified. If you are bringing extra guests, please inform the accommodation in advance, as they reserve the right to deny check-in for unregistered guests.

Please note that insurance of any kind is not included in the listed rates.

Certain accommodations may charge an additional yet mandatory “resort fee” or occupancy tax (when applicable) for using certain services. This resort fee is collected directly from the guest and typically will not be included in the price offered on the website and app. However, it’ll be mentioned in the provided accommodation description.
