Your journey commences in Nairobi, where you’ll embark on the Madaraka Express to Tsavo National Park.
Tsavo National Park, nestled in the southeastern region of Kenya, stands as one of the country’s oldest and most revered conservation areas. It encompasses both Tsavo West National Park and Tsavo East National Park, bisected by a historic railway line. Renowned for its infamous man-eating lions, Tsavo boasts a diverse landscape, featuring rugged mountains and wooded grasslands in Tsavo West, juxtaposed with the semiarid grasslands and savannah of Tsavo East. The legend of the man-eating lions stems from a historic event during the construction of the railway through the park, where two maneless lions gained notoriety for attacking workers. Today, these iconic lions remain a draw for visitors, adding to the allure of exploring this remarkable destination.
Meet at the hotel or airport by our representative for briefing, transfer to Nairobi SGR Terminus for train departure to Tsavo. Pick up from Voi Terminus for transfer to your accommodation in Tsavo. Arrival in time for lunch and afternoon game drives.
You will spend the day exploring the red soil plains of the Tsavo East National Parks, we will spend quality time on game viewing drives. You will be searching for elephants, lion, giraffe, buffalo, warthog, eland, ostrich, hippo, rhino and many more.
Early breakfast followed by an all-day game drive until lunch. Return to lodge for your lunch. Afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight in the lodge. Alternatively you can have a full day game viewing.
Breakfast and departure to Mombasa via Madaraka Express Train. Arrival in Mombasa at 14:00 hrs for transfer by a Msafiri Representative to your accommodation at a beach hotel. Arrival in time for lunch. Afternoon spent at leisure.
You can choose to spend your day swimming at the beach or indulging in the wide array available at the coast. Our travel experts will assist with the arrangements.
